Vicki H. Dixon

Vicki Dixon has previously authored a series entitled, Upclose and Personal: A Comprehensive Study Guide of the Psalms. This series includes five titles: A Compassionate Shepherd (Psalms 1–41), God Rescues Us (Psalms 42–72),

Celebrating the Holiness of God (Psalms 73–89), Preparing for Life's Journey (Psalms 90–106), and Anthems of Praise (Psalms 107–150).

Vicki's first title with Palmer Publishing is They Did What? This book is a study of women who were briefly mentioned in the Bible but had extremely eventful lives. They may or may not have had a name, but they were someone’s wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, or servant and played a role of influence in the development of God’s plan for the ages.

This intriguing study of Old Testament women will prod you to think about how

you would have responded in their situations. Your eyes will be opened to what

went on behind the scenes of major events of Biblical history.

The New Testament edition is coming soon.

About the Author

Vicki Dixon has been a lifelong student herself and has also had a constant desire to share with others what she has learned through her own studies and experiences.

Her early years of sharing involved teaching elementary school students. Later, she served as a high school principal where she enjoyed passing on the rewards of learning with students and teachers as well. Additionally, Vicki served as an Adjunct Professor in the College of Education at East Carolina University where she sought to instill in senior interns the love of sharing in the education of others.

Vicki has shared her enjoyment of music with many—both in school and in her church as she serves in many capacities. Upon her retirement as an educator, she embarked on the role of leading Bible studies for women of her church. She seeks to encourage and inspire others to participate in areas of service where they, in turn, have opportunities to study God’s Word and share what He teaches.

Vicki lives in the Black Jack-Grimesland area of Pitt County, North Carolina. She eagerly and actively supports her two daughters, her son-in-law, and two grandchildren.
