MOUNT OLIVE— The Annual University of Mount Olive Alumni & Friends Golf Tournament will swing into action on Friday, November 15, at Southern Wayne Country Club. The tournament is part of the University’s “Celebrating the Art and Soul of UMO” Homecoming and Pickle Classic Weekend.
Registration and lunch for the Captain’s Choice tournament will begin at 11 AM, with the shotgun tee time set for noon. The tournament costs $75 per person or $300 per team. Registration fees include the long drive and closest-to-pin contest, one mulligan per player, a goody bag, lunch, and refreshments. First and second-place prizes will be awarded for each of the two flights.
Several sponsorship levels and opportunities are available. Proceeds from the tournament help to support student scholarships.
“This event is about building community, connecting with our alumni, and supporting students,” said Dwayne McKay, tournament coordinator. “We are so pleased this tournament has grown into an annual tradition, supported by alumni committed to helping outstanding students.”
