The Free Will Baptist Children’s Home received reaccreditation with expedited status through the Council on Accreditation (COA) at the end of 2023. The Children’s Home was evaluated on 806 COA standards and received the highest rating on 91% of the standards and the second highest rating on 9% of the standards. Thrive Independent Living and Adoption Services received accreditation for the first time—these are new programs since the last COA reaccreditation cycle.
This achievement is the result of the hard work of many staff members gathering information and evidence on the Children’s Home’s programs and our goal of “practice matching paper.” In other words, we ensure that we are following through with our policies to serve our youth and families in the best possible ways.
